So, here is a text you don't want to get from your 18 year old who is at camp preparing to be a camp counselor:
"Hey can you text me my insurance information? I'm ok don't worry haha"
What, me worry? I was freaking out!!! And worst is that there is barely any cell phone reception in utopia so my texts were taking ages to send. He said he thinks he only needs one stitch in his finger. Did I mention that the camp kids haven't even shown up yet? I'm waiting to hear from him, he was on his way to an urgent care center.
I finally strapped myself to the chair yesterday (figuratively) and made some serious progress on my thesis. As soon as I hit publish on this post I intend to polish off the current version enough to have it proofread by the goddess who I have hired to proof read for me. Typos anyone? Bad grammar? Apparently me!!
I saw some samples of my prints this morning and I was so happy I was practically giddy. I was a little worried they might be too small, but they are most definitely not too small. They will be majestic! Just like the woods! Yippee. Now they just need to be adhered to plexiglass and I will be ready to go!!
It's pretty hard to get serious about working from utopia, since my computer is up against the window and I sit here hearing people laughing and cajoling on the water. This is why my the latest goal I set for myself is to give myself two free weeks before my next session to re-freaking -lax!!! I think I may have forgotten how to relax, except for the two weeks I was completely out of commission with my latest bout of pneumonia, but relaxing while brain dead is not the same thing as relaxing while having my wits about me enough to know that I am finally relaxing. Hopefully I will be off the antibiotics by then (just got another batch since I am still coughing something fierce) and be able to have a drinky-poo or seven because I deserve to be whisked away to another plane of reality - one where every one is nice because folks, I am the nicest drunk ever. Seriously, I get tipsy and tell people exactly what I like about them.
Okay, enough procrastinating. Back to the thesis.
