What a week!
I'm still not 100%. The fever lasted about three days, then I just had the head busting eye throbbing head to rib cage super congestion. It's the kind of congestion where I can blow and blow and blow my nose and never get any satisfaction. The cough is significant too. I haven't slept without slathering myself from the shoulders to the belly button in a nice thick layer of vicks vapo rub every night. The husband reports that I do a fair amount of coughing in my sleep. This must be why every afternoon I go completely comatose for a couple of hours.
Walking bear bait is a challenge because breathing is a challenge. I feel like I'm breathing cream of mushroom soup instead of air.
Speaking of bear bait (I'm so sick whine over!), she's been traumatized by the ridiculous electric fence the last owners had going on in the backyard. I never met the previous owners but I can tell you that when the tech guy came to flag the electric fence for us he got all agitated and once I let on that I thought the fence was odd ball the tech guy let loose and said he thought the previous owners should not have been allowed to own dogs and that they must have hated their dogs to restrict their movement like they did. And it was a crazy set up. So I never used it, then bear bait spent the nigh tin the pound, and I tried to introduce the bizarre set up to her and she was shaking like a leaf. Then she bew right through the fence the next night so I've been only leash walking her. Yesterday the fence people came back to redo the fence and make it regular. But it is too late. Bear bait is afraid to go into the backyard. It's kind of hilarious. And frustrating. I have to lure her out the back door with dog treats and even then she'll only go far enough to do her business and race back inside.
Oh bother.
