WTF allergies! Typically I have hellish hay fever (it's the trees!) every spring and some mild easy to ignore stuff in the fall, but for the last 3 weeks I have been sneezing so much and so hard that 3 and a half new england states are covered with my spittle and my ribs hurt.
Last night I was so desperate to breath that I put on an old jammy top and slathered up with the vicks vapo rub. Tonight? I will not wait until I lie there awake for an hour before dipping into the vicks. Tonight, it's me, the vicks, Weeds and The Big C. What a night! Am I a hot date or what? Also, it's that TOM, so yeah baby, me and my swollen water retaining allergy eyes, red nose, constant big bad wolf trying to blow down the brick house sneezing, vicks aroma wafting through the air, ragged jammy top and granny panties. I AM A FOX! Yeah baby.
Tomorrow the kids go back to school. On the one hand, I'd really like that time to get myself back to the posh club and also printing class. On the other hand every day of school gets Matt one day closer to leaving the nest for college, and I am not going to go down that path gracefully folks. I can predict that outcome with 100% accuracy. I will be a (hopefully hot) mess. I better hit the gym hard this year. It's always better to devastate and embarrass your freshman during freshman orientation drop off with some washboard abs and killer biceps.
So, fall. Hello, FALL. Fall will represent a return to me to me time, to me exercising for good health and good for me eating. I informed the kids about my gluten and dairy free household plans. The husband suggested we go to the deli for corned beef and pastrami at lunch. I took the family to whole foods instead. I'm not putting crappy food into me anymore. I'm just not.
And, to add insult to injury, this morning's sunrise was the one you've been looking for...only you were here, not in Utopia! It was glorious.

I saw the tail end of it. Imagine me standing at my bedroom window gazing at the view and slowly shaking my head.

My oldest son's allergies have been really bad lately too. I don't get it.
