At home if I want to take a photo of my "landscape" it always a close up. In utopia when I take landscape photos it is the opposite.
I feel like I can't summon the creativity up from somewhere deep inside of me. But I want it to be there right up on top where I can reach out and grab it and wrangle it into my hands and into my head and through my eyes so I can make some beautiful art. I am quietly considering taking taking a landscape painting class next year and I would like to be able to paint from my own photos. I am packing up my "good" camera (as opposed to my point and shoot or my iphone) and hauling it back to utopia with me. I figure having my equipment handy is the first step.
I recently started reading your blog; it's fantastic, so real! What or where is Utopia? Your backyard? or some other place? thanks....
