We did the weekend split up- do errands- thing today, which was amazingly easy with only one kid. Basically Josh went with the parent who was going to stop for a meal, and that was the husband. And I got be alone. My errand was picking up Devil Dog from the groomer. I can guarantee I will not be taking any doggie portraits in her near future. The girl has been viciously attacked with a clipper. I joked to Evan about Devil Dog getting a buzz, and it turns out I wasn't so far off. Let's see how fast she can grow this one out.
But I stopped by the old folks home on my way back from the groomer, and took Devil Dog in. What a reception! Nearly everyone there wanted to, asked if they could, happily pet her and "I thought I have got to do this more often!" So, I will. And Devil Dog will be so happy about it too. The girl cannot get enough attention. Seriously, from the pot to the kettle, if she could type she'd be a blogger, totally.
When I got home again, I anxiously ran over to the mailbox hoping that there would be a letter from the boys. Evan came through, but the secret is that the kids at his camp are forced to write home (snicker). Here is what Evan had to say in his first ever letter home from camp:
Dear Mommy,
I love camp, but I need a baseball mitt, and a fan. Please send them. Tell everyone I LOVE THEM!
best wishes,
Evan LastName
Good thing he included the last name there, cause out of all the Evans I sent to camp this year, I might not have figured out which one needed his stuff stat. And what the bleep is up with the best wishes?!?! I nursed that kid until he could say "No thanks, I'd prefer the lasagna tonight" and he signs his first letter ever home from sleep away camp "best wishes"??? I need love people, LOVE! I am now trying very hard to send him a psychic slap upside the head. best wishes. pffffft. I'll best wishes him!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL - best wishesand his last name, that's too funny!
