I am totally addicted to reality tv. The program I am watching at this very second is The Biggest Loser. First I want to say that I normally watcvh this show on mute with closed captioning while waiting for Josh to fall asleep on my bed, and realize tomnight that I have never heard these peoples voices and their real voices are nothing like what I imagined tham to sound like. I never thought Suzie would have a cutesy little voice. Maybe it was her glasses, but I imagined her with a husky rough voice and a bitchy attitude. Go figure.
I am inspired by the tremendous amount of weight loss going on with all but one of the contestants, and am sitting here on my butt knowing that I need to turn up the motor on my workouts and cut a few little indulgences out of my diet. All along I have had the attitude that if I am eating salad I can get by with the blue cheese dressing, or the whole fat milk in my occasional venti latte, or that it is ok to have 6 clementines as I snack all day long on them. That is going to change right this very second while my butt is still on the couch.
When I am swimming or running I am not as concerned with the intensity of the workouts as I should be. Now I am watching these super weight losers sweat it out, and I know that my weight loss will totally pick up if I can just shift into a higher gear. I think a heart monitor will be on my chanukah list this year. I noticed when I used the treadmill while on vacation in Florida that I barely got my heart beat into the fat burning zone. Oh, and the personal trainer, I found out the 411 on the trainers at the Y and know which one to ask for. I think I'll start off with a trainer and see how I like the one on one attention.
In any case I am definitely going to find out what exercises these contestants have been doing because they look amazing. Mark my words, when I am done with me, I will be looking and feeling fine.
Now you have gotten too skinny or you could have gone on the show!! I love that show! I think its unfair to pit men and women together. They should have a winner from each gender.
