Not only am I a bit tight with the money, I am also a bit of a procrastinator. It is for this reason that I do not buy too much for myself, or get around to doing many of the little nice things for myself that I would like to.
This morning the husband called from work to tell me that he has signed me up for a week long photography class at the International Center for Photography in NYC in January. The kicker is that he is going to take that week off and do my job at home with the kids! I was surprised and thrilled, I was listening to the details when my sister beeped in on the call waiting. I flashed over to her and quickly explained "Hey, I can't talk, husband is on the phone and he is telling me that he has signed me up for a week long photo class, and he is going to stay home to take care of the kids." Hearing this news Evan gasped from the couch and turned around with huge shocked saucer eyes. This made me laugh and since Evan likes an audience so he pretended to faint. I know the kids will survive, but am not sure how the husband will fare. I am hoping the kids will band together and help him through it. The kids are strong, I know they can do it. I wonder, since we are changing roles for the week if I could go out to dinner everynight with friends that are just like clients. Wow, this is going to be a very exciting year for me. We have two big trips planned, this week at the ICP, and then next summer we'll be back at the lake again.
WWWHHhhooooo hooo!!! That's sounds awesome! how cool that he believes in you and in your talents enough to arrange this for you. Isn't it great being loved like that.
I'm sure the kids will be fine and maybe it will give your husband a glimpse of what it's like to do your job.
how exciting. congrats

January? What week? I have to check the schedule and see if you are needed to take photos at the school....just kidding. Soon you will be too important to be taking pics for the little paper you work for. Bet some day the editor will be telling people "I knew her when!" Oh, wait, she already does!
Sounds like a lot of fun and a big boost from the husband (and a potential shock for his system).
